Born in 2002 in Madrid, Carmen Sánchez Labrador started playing the piano at the age of four. She was admitted into Arturo Soria Conservatorio Profesional de Música at the age of seven, where she continued her music studies until she was admitted into the Purcell School of Music in London in 2018. After two years there, she proceeded to be accepted into Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where she continues to be enrolled as a student under the tutelage of David Kuyken.
Carmen has played in numerous prestigious halls like Auditorio Nacional de Madrid, Wigmore Hall, Southbank Centre and Milton Court, both as a solo and a chamber performer. She has also had the opportunity to receive masterclasses from internationally renowned teachers such as Eldar Nebolsin, Boris Berman, James Giles, Artur Pizarro, Nino Kereselidze, Alexander Kandelaki, Aleksandar Madžar and Jun Kanno.
She has been awarded first prize in EPTA Spain Piano Competition and was a semifinalist in Princess Christina Concours in 2022. She also won internal competitions held at the Purcell School of Music and Arturo Soria Conservatorio Profesional de Música. She has played as a soloist with the Conservatorium van Amsterdam orchestra in Philharmonie Haarlem, and with the Goois Symfonie Orkest in Muziekcentrum van de Omroep.
